ANDREW
CROSSFIT MANAGER
From a young age, Andrew developed a keen interest in human movement, driven by his personal experience with a torn shoulder labrums at a young age. This early challenge ignited his passion for understanding the mechanics of the human body and optimizing its performance. This interest only deepened during his service in the Army, where Andrew honed his skills in physical training, discipline, and leadership.
Andrew is dedicated to fostering a supportive and challenging environment for all members, helping them achieve their fitness goals and improve their overall well-being. He started his CrossFit journey in 2016 when Coach Sebastian introduced him to it when they were at annual training for the Army. Since that time, he has achieved the CrossFit Level 2 certification.
With a strong commitment to excellence, he strives to lead by example, inspire others, and create a thriving community within the gym.
Zac
CROSSFIT L2 COACH
Zac began his CrossFit journey when he was just a freshman in high school, developing a passion for fitness. The tightknit CrossFit community sparked Zac’s interest in getting into coaching. He’s been a CrossFit coach for over five years and has achieved the CrossFit Level 2 certification. His love for CrossFit and his passion for helping others achieve their health and wellness goals has steered him to taking on a managerial role at the new Bark River CrossFit gym!
SYLVIA
CROSSFIT L2 COACH
After watching a local meet in 2014, Sylvia sparked a passion for Olympic Weightlifting. Since then, she’s competed in several local and state meets, placing her as the Wisconsin state record holder for Masters in her weight class. Her love for sports and fitness has her constantly learning about strength and nutrition to fuel for performance. Whether you’re new to CrossFit or you’ve been competing for years, Sylvia’s ultimate goal is to have her athletes reach their fullest potential.
Ryan
CROSSFIT L3 COACH
Ryan is a CrossFit Level 3 Trainer and has a background filled with sports and a deep-seated love for physical activity, which fostered a keen interest in health and fitness. This enthusiasm propelled him to pursue and attain a degree in biology and exercise science from UW-Lacrosse. His CrossFit journey began in 2011, when he acquired his Level 1 certification, marking the initiation of his coaching career.
Over the years, Ryan’s commitment to professional development has been evident through his achievements, including attaining the prestigious CCFT (Level 3) certification, obtaining his Power Athlete Methodology certificate, securing CrossFit master’s certificates, as well as a variety of other CrossFit courses. This multifaceted education and extensive certification underscore Ryan’s dedication to excellence in the realm of health, fitness, and coaching.
KRISTI
CROSSFIT L1 COACH
Kristi developed a passion for running after injuring her knee during collegiate soccer. She completed numerous half marathons before being introduced to CrossFit in 2012 through a free class, which instantly captivated her. After dedicating herself to CrossFit for several years, she fell in love with the community and its people. She earned her Level 1 certification and has been coaching classes for over five years. Outside of CrossFit, Kristi enjoys designing beautiful interiors, golfing, running with her dogs, wakeboarding or snowboarding depending on the season, and diving into a good historical fiction book.
JAKE
CROSSFIT L1 COACH
Meet coach Jake whose journey through collegiate basketball ignited a lifelong passion for health and fitness. Transitioning from the court to the gym, Jake honed expertise as a personal trainer and youth performance coach. Now armed with his CrossFit L1 and a doctorate in physical therapy, Jake brings a holistic approach to coaching, blending functional movements with a deep understanding of movement mechanics to guide athletes towards peak performance and injury prevention.
TYLER
CROSSFIT L2 COACH
Tyler has a deep passion for guiding others to live a healthier lifestyle. He has been guiding others over 15 years through personal training, nutrition, and mindset. Eight of those years, he has been a CrossFit coach and three of those years, he has been a head CrossFit coach. Tyler enjoys taking the time coaching those willing and eager to learn correct form, technique and whatever else is needed when asked. The community aspect of CrossFit is what he enjoys the most. Since coaching, Tyler has met some amazing people and many of whom inspire him. Coaching is his calling and he looks forward to continuing guiding anyone who’s willing to dedicate time to become the best version of themselves. Tyler’s advice to any new individual looking to start CrossFit or any form of fitness; just showing up is a victory and there’s no need to be intimidated. All you need is a positive attitude, the willingness to learn, and a good coach for success.
JEB

As a lifelong athlete, Jeb’s love and passion for fitness has evolved into wanting to help as many people as he can to better their life thru movement. His goal is teach people fitness by teaching them the proper way to move, the importance of being smart during workouts, and most importantly having fun while doing it. What we do in the gym should make our life outside the gym easier.

ADAM
CROSSFIT L2 COACH
Adam has been into competitive sports his whole life. He has always enjoyed pushing himself, so when he tried CrossFit for the first time in 2016, he was hooked. Shortly after Adam began coaching in 2017, he helped start a local CrossFit gym. Adam thoroughly enjoys helping people get excited about fitness and wellness. CrossFit has helped him immensely in his own wellness journey as Adam will soon be celebrating 10 years of sobriety. Along the way, he has studied, in depth, the mechanics of powerlifting and the benefits of progressions. Adam is always open to help; just come ask.
Danielle
CROSSFIT L1 COACH
Danielle joins Bark River CrossFit as a CF-L2 trainer after receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sports Science from Benedictine University (BenU) in 2018 & Masters of Education at Carthage College in 2020. While at BenU she played collegiate soccer for four years. She then went on to be a Graduate Assistant with Carthage College where she was an assistant coach for the Women’s soccer program and an assistant strength & conditioning coach where she worked with men’s and women’s soccer as well as men’s and women’s lacrosse.
Danielle has a strong passion for Olympic weightlifting and has been a huge advocate and promoter of CrossFit since she found her love for it in 2014.
SEBASTIAN
CROSSFIT L2 COACH
Sebastian has been doing CrossFit for about 9 years and been a coach for roughly 6 years, currently a CrossFit Level 2 coach. He has a bachelors in exercise science from UW-Whitewater.
Sebastian fully believes in the CrossFit methodology and its effectiveness on helping fight the battle against chronic disease (the world’s most vexing problem). He also believes it is the tip of the spear in determining the fittest on earth and forges elite fitness for professional service members and the like around the world.
He was in the Army Reserve for 6 years which is what turned him to CrossFit which then led to competing throughout his college days and into the present. Sebastian has recruited many family and friends to start and maintain their journeys with CrossFit. These include his wife, sisters, father, mother, grandmother, cousins, in laws and many of his best friends.
Sebastian is guided by his faith in Jesus and believes God designed our bodies to be strong and resilient. His goal is to help people through encouragement and knowledge of their physical abilities and to become more connected with others that want to do the same.
Sebastian and his wife enjoy working out alongside each other and wish to set a good example of hard work and persistence for their son, future children, and family.
